Sarah + Jackson's Engagement

October 30, 2019

Sarah had found me on Instagram and told me she loved the way I captured light. I was super excited that she had been following my work and was all in on getting her engagement photos taken with me! As we neared closer to their "fall" session.. the weather in Boulder, Colorado had a different idea for us.

I showed up to our destination of the Boulder Flatirons and was completely in awe of the beautiful snowfall that was sparkling in the sunset. We unfortunately had to push the session back a half an hour due to traffic which caused us to JUST miss the glimmering light, but that blue hour that follows is just as dreamy. We had to work quickly because the temps were at 5 degrees!! Without us planning for snow, Sarah and Jackson were a bit cold in their outfits. These two made a difficult situation SO PRETTY. They were carefree and so up for anything. Sarah joked that they would keep each-other warm with their love, and I 100% believe they did. As we neared the end of the session, I felt bad we didn't get the warmer photos they had hoped for, so I offered to continue a little longer somewhere indoors.

Sarah's recommendation of Hotel Boulderado was so picturesque and cozy! I love that we got a variety of images and happened to catch the very first snowfall of the winter.
